Eligibility

HSC or Std. XII from a recognized Board, with minimum 45%

(other selection procedures are as prescribed by the Mumbai University; each year the dates
of admissions and the procedure are displayed after the HSC Results of Maharashtra State
are declared )

(50 % quota for Christian students; other reservations as per rules)

The Course

 

The HAFT programme is one of the oldest and most prestigious courses in hospitality in the city. This DEGREE is recognized by all deluxe hotel chains in India.

 

This course offers computer learning with the M.I.S. and the FIDELIO programme trains students in room reservation systems.

 

HAFT provides 3 state-of-the-art kitchens and a bakery, with the latest equipment, as well as two training restaurants to facilitate learning in a professional environment. For the first time students can specialize in one of the 4 specific areas of hotel operation in their third and final year.

4. ROOMS DIVISION MANAGEMENT (FRONT OFFICE & HOUSE KEEPING)

 

The course offers exposure to actual working conditions through practical training, internship and outdoor catering functions.
The HAFT tradition of 'learning to look after' continues beyond the academic horizons.

 

Placement

 

Our Students are equipped to work in all departments of Hotels, as well as in Restaurants, Airlines, Hospitals and Industrial Canteens. The course also equips students to work as consultants and food critics. In Semester V and throughout Semester VI, luxury commercial and business hotels visit our campus for initiating their recruitment procedure to absorb our students in the ‘operations’ areas of ‘Food & Beverage Service’, ‘Food Production’, ‘Front Office’ and ‘Bakery & Confectionery’. Our students are much sought after by hotel chains such as The Oberoi Group of Hotels, The Taj Palaces & Towers, The Vivanta by Taj President, The Taj Lands End, The I.T.C. Group of Hotels, The Palladium, The Leela, Fern Hotels, The Sofitel, The Hyatt, The J.W. Marriott, Starwood, Intercontinental, Sun & Sand, the Svenska Group and other premium brands.

Since our course has incorporated the ‘Credit Points’ system, is also creates the basic academic foundation and platform for students who wish to pursue their academic careers in Foreign Universities for Advanced Hospitality Management and Culinary Specialization courses.
