Top of the line front office laboratory with a reception counter for practical sessions involving check-ins/check-outs and an updated “property management software-FIDELIO”.
A well designed guest room on par with a luxury hotel accommodation facility having an attached bathroom with vanitory unit and a bath tub. This room is used to demonstrate guest room cleaning, bed making and placing of guest amenities and supplies to the students.
The college offers two state of the art kitchens and one quantity kitchen for the students to develop their culinary skills. The students have an opportunity to work individually and in groups to familiarize themselves with the pre-preparation procedures and methods of cooking food, including Indian and various international cuisines.
The ‘Piccolo’ and ‘Piccolo Too’, our training restaurant underwent an extensive renovation including painting and plastering, giving an overall ambience of refined grade ‘A’ restaurants. These restaurants provide an opportunity to the students to learn the techniques of food and beverage service operations.
The bakery and confectionery laboratory also underwent extensive
renovation with the addition of two latest brand new state of art
‘combi’ professional commercial ovens and an electronic ‘dough
sheeter’. This upgradation was necessary as our CRAFT BAKERY
flagship course is well known throughout the Hospitality industry
for its exotic bakery and patisserie delicacies with the taste and
texture to match a similar product sold at a luxury hotel
patisserie. This involves the best quality ingredients, delicate
and perfect temperature control and humidity as well precise
layering and mixing of the ingredients. This massive capital
investment for renovation and upgradation of equipment is justified
as the sole aim and goal of our prestigious institute to impart the
finest practical inputs to young aspirants wanting to create
careers in hospitality as well as providing quality and value for
money practical ‘hands on’ sessions for those enrolled. The
Chocolate room which is a temperature controlled section extension
of the Bakery and Confectionery was fitted with a brand new heavy
duty air conditioning and dehumidifier split unit for the precise
controlled temperature and humidity required for chocolate
tempering, moulding and delicate sugar work displays.
The Institute has a computer laboratory which provides students with technologically advanced equipment for learning and producing comprehensive and finished work for their portfolios. It is well equipped with the latest machines, cable internet service and above all, has a very helpful faculty.
Situated on the ground floor of the Polytechnic building, the air-conditioned library is indeed an oasis of knowledge where the quest of the curious mind ends. There is also an immense collection of reading material including reference journals, periodicals & encyclopedias which are updated annually, giving the students an access to an updated information highway much required for them to have the competitive edge for securing job placements.
'EDUCATION FOR TRANSFORMATION'.
The Library also houses master files of examination papers that serve as ready reckoners for the students. Further, to assist students in locating reference books and information, an 'Online Public Access Catalogue' is provided. The Library is also equipped with a scanning machine to allow students to retrieve specific pages from books for future reference. To ensure optimal use of the library, a Library Orientation Programme is especially conducted for all students at the beginning of every academic year.
